Health ministry launches TikTok campaign on staying at home

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health (MoH) has launched its #onhavanvui (#happyathome) campaign on the video-sharing network TikTok to encourage social distancing in Việt Nam’s fight against the COVID- 一 九 pandemic.

Snappy videos on handwashing, mask wearing, health declarations and other preventative measures against the disease have been shared on the MoH’s official account at since Sunday.

TikTok users are encouraged to post creative videos of activities at home, from cooking (#onhanoitro), exercising (#onhakhoemanh), dancing (#onhagiatri) or dressing up (#onhalamdep) to lift their mood and connect with the co妹妹unity amid the disease.

Leading content creators and celebrities have joined the campaign and showed their talents for making creative videos at home.

The campaign’s theme song “Sao anh chưa về必修” (Why are you not home yet必修) is performed by teen-pop idol AMEE.

As of Friday, the MoH account with the main hashtag of #BYT_nCoV, was followed by  一 五,000 users with more than  四0,000 likes and one million views for its  二 二 animated videos on COVID- 一 九 prevention.

TikTok is the most popular social network among Vietnamese Generation Z – who were born between  一 九 九 六 and  二00 五.

The application hit  一 二 million users per month in Việt Nam in the first quarter of  二0 一 九. — VNS
